Fits Do Race Reviews: Quick Recap

By LL in KC

Jess and I just had a successful half marathon day in Kzoo, MI. I paced my dad through his first race - where he successfully shaved 30 minutes off the time that he predicted that he would run. (This is amazing, especially with his bad knee pain, and we are both SO proud of him).

More of a full marathon girl (in case you didn't know), Jess still enjoyed the half, but said that it was a little warm for her. She ran a quick race and got the family PR for the day!

The race was quite toasty, which might not have been an issue had the race started earlier (it was an 8:20 start time...kind of odd). We'll give a more thorough race review later (we have a celebratory dinner to attend with our dad), but for now here are a couple of pics from the Borgess Run for the Health of It Half Marathon.

We had a good time and are still enjoying a short weekend in Kalamazoo. Congrats again, dad, for this amazing accomplishment!
