Fits on the Road: Weston, MO

By LL

A few weekends ago, my husband and I celebrated our anniversary in a small town just northeast of KCMO. Weston, Misssouri is very tiny, but boasts some great wineries and an Irish pub that makes the trip well worth it. Whereas this trip was not a "fit" one, I've had a few inquiries about the town and decided to share a little glimpse into our weekend away.

Of course we made a stop at the local brewery

Inside O'Malley's - an Irish pub that is in an old Civil War bunker. The bar is three stories, all underground, each with a different Irish band.

Unfitting spread at the Riverwood Winery. This winery was not as good as Pirtle, but boasts live music every weekend in the summer.

We stayed at the Hatchery B&B - good food but very warm!!

And a little more wine at Pirtle. This winery was very quaint with good wine and a nice garden to enjoy...which we did!

Whereas Weston is not a town for those looking for bustling weekend or lots of fitness opportunities (you can walk the downtown and not even walk a half mile), it is worth a stop and has lots of fun things to do in a 1-2 day span.
